fall mini session prep:
Time
Arrive 5-10 minutes early to give yourself plenty of time to park and walk to our designated meeting spot.
Any amount of time that you're late will directly impact the length of your session and number of images you may receive.
Kids
Give your kiddo a heads up about what will be happening! If they're old enough of course! Tell them that they are going to have a little fun with the family while they have their pictures taken by Miss Alex :)
I have games and songs and tricks up my sleeve so my goal is for the experience to be fun!
Outfits
- Clothing will set the tone of your portraits. Simple and classic clothing will create timeless images. Neutrals and muted tones help keep focus on your faces.
- Avoid logos, text and characters.
- Keep everyone in similar tones but outfits don’t need to match. Think coordinating rather than matching.
- Texture photographs beautifully. Clothing with texture adds depth to your images.
- Shoe styles can be distracting, and can date an image. Keep shoes as simple as possible.
- Some of my favorites for shopping: H&M, Zara, Target, Gap, Old Navy.
